This is not one for the purists, or those who get excited by a lengthy recipe but for those looking for quick easy inspiration for a meal. ChefGPT could be the one.
The app has many features but the one that appeals to me is PantryChef. When you’re lacking the imagination to cook and you have ingredients in your fridge that you know you should use up before buying any more - this feature is a good quick fix.
Even if you don’t use it properly (some of the answers can be rogue), it does help with some inspiration. It's also super simple to use - you start by letting it know what kind of meal you want to cook, followed by the kitchen tools you have.
Then you list out the ingredients you have, so for example in my fridge I had green beans, chicken, garlic, cherry tomatoes etc. I added them to the inventory list. Then it asks you the most crucial questions in my opinion: How much time do you want to spend cooking and how good a chef you are. I mean most people using the app are probably not going to be expert but it's good to have options.
Then just like that, it generates a recipe for you. I should warn that all the images look AI generated and therefore not that appetizing but the instructions are fairly thorough and concise - easy to follow for an intermediate chef. It's not life changing as I’m sure you could go onto the web and find something more adventurous, but it's fun to use and does help get the creative juices flowing!
